This #ThrowbackThursday is going way, way back. Looking at the face of that little baby, you would never know that bones and tissue in both legs were malformed and I was missing bones and numerous toes. I was living in the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, where I grew up for seven years, about four … [Read more…]
It’s #ThrowbackThursday, going back to killing time before a flight at an airport. #ThrowbackThursday to when my oldest daughter was just a little girl. It feels like only yesterday, and yet also like a lifetime ago. She has grown into an exceptional woman, but I can’t help but wonder how I would have parented differently if I had learned about being Self Aware back then…
#ThrowbackThursday to my short-lived “biker” days- in fact, for a while, I sold bikes! Trail bikes like these ones gave me a way to spend time with my brother. My whole life I have been determined not to let the fact that I have two prosthetic legs slow me down. As a child, I was … [Read more…]
